Case Information: CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION SECTION MEDIA RELEASE September 7, 2022 On Monday, May 23, 2022, at 1305 hours, District Three officers responded to the 2000 block of Harkness Street for a report of a male who was assaulted and suffering from head injuries. District Three officers located the victim suffering from apparent injuries to his head. The victim was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center by the Cincinnati Fire Department. The victim succumbed to his injuries on August 1, 2022. The deceased has been identified as Lee Anderson, a male 70 years of age. On September 7, 2022, Amar Pryor, male 37 years of age, was indicted for murder for the death of Mr. Anderson. The investigation by the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit is ongoing. Case Information: CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION SECTION MEDIA RELEASE September 01, 2022 On August 31, 2022, at approximately 8:15 PM, District Five officers along with Cincinnati Fire Department personnel responded to the 4700 block of Kenard Avenue for the report of two pedestrians struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers located two male victims suffering from various serious injuries. Cincinnati Fire Department personnel transported both victims to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where one victim succumbed to his injuries. The deceased victim has been identified as Christopher Griffith, a male 58 years of age. No information on the second victim will be released at this time. On September 1, 2022, with the assistance of District Five officers, the Cincinnati Police’s Homicide Unit charged Taah’viya Chapman with Murder for causing the death of Christopher Griffith.
