Case Information: CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION SECTION MEDIA RELEASE July 1, 2024 On July 1, 2024, at approximately 0245 hours District Four officers were dispatched to 306 E. University Avenue for a repot of four people shot. Upon arrival officers encountered four individuals with gunshot wounds. After the scene was stabilized, The Cincinnati Fire Department responded, assessed the victims and began life saving measures. Shawn McDaniel Jr, male 22, was transported to The University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he also succumbed to his injuries. Shawn McDaniel, male 45, the father of Shawn McDaniel Jr. was pronounced deceased on scene. Laurenz Nixon, male 21, was also transported to The University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. The fourth victim is transported to The University of Cincinnati Medical Center and is in serious but stable condition. Upon arrival officers located a victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Cincinnati Fire Department Personnel responded to the scene and determined the victim to be deceased. The victim has been identified as Jawan Johnson, a male, 32 years of age.

Case Information: CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION SECTION MEDIA RELEASE June 19, 2024 On June 19, 2024, at approximately 5:00 PM, District Three officers responded to the 3200 block of Colerain Avenue for a report of a person shot. District Three officers arrived at the scene and located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Cincinnati Fire Department personnel arrived and attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was determined to be deceased. The victim is identified as Nicky Reese, a male 47 years of age. A short time later a second shooting victim arrived at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. That victim is currently in stable condition. Upon arrival, responding officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Cincinnati Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and determined the victim to be deceased. The victim has been identified as My’Kell McCoy, a male, 21 years of age. On June 6, 2024, the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit, with assistance from The Fugitive Apprehension Unit, arrested a male juvenile, 16 years of age, for Murder in the death of Mr. McCoy. Case Information: CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION SECTION MEDIA RELEASE April 5, 2024 On February 12, 2024, at approximately 1100 AM, District Three officers responded to the 2700 block of West North Bend Road for a report of an unresponsive child. Upon arrival, District Three officers and Cincinnati Fire Department personnel located a one-year-old child unconscious and not breathing. Fire Department personnel determined the child was deceased at the scene. The child is identified as Kymari Walker, a male 1 year of age. On April 4, 2024, The Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit, with assistance from the Fugitive Apprehension Squad, arrested Kymani Walker, a male 21 years of age, on an Involuntary Manslaughter warrant for the death of Kymari Walker. Case Information: CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION SECTION MEDIA RELEASE March 22, 2024 On November 05, 2023, District Three officers responded to the report of a dismembered body found in 1600 block of Baltimore Avenue. Upon arrival, responding officers located a body of an unidentified female who was the victim of a homicide. With the assistance of the Hamilton County Coroner’s office and the Ohio Bureau of Investigation the Cincinnati Police Homicide Unit was able to identify the victim as Makaila Luckey, female 25 years of age. Ms. Luckey was known to frequent the Lockland area and the Downtown West End area. The Cincinnati Police Department is looking for any information on Ms. Luckey’s whereabouts in the last weeks of October and first week of November 2023, and any associates of Ms. Luckey. Upon arrival, officers located two victims inside of an apartment suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim died at the scene and has been identified as Kenyada Wheeler, 42 years of age. The second victim was transported by Cincinnati Fire Department personnel to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment. Case Information: CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION SECTION MEDIA RELEASE UPDATE February 15, 2024 On November 20, 2023, at approximately 1:40 PM, District Four officers were dispatched to the 6300 block of Meyers Drive for a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located a victim outside of that location suffering from a gunshot wound. Cincinnati Fire Department personnel responded and transported Claude Frazier III, 34-years of age, to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment. The victim died from his injuries several hours later. UPDATE On February 8, 2024, the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit, with assistance from the Fugitive Apprehension Squad, arrested Timothy Griffin, 32 years of age, on open warrants for Aggravated Murder and Aggravated Robbery in the death of Mr. Frazier. On February 15, 2024, the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit, with assistance from the Fugitive Apprehension Squad, arrested Raymond Minnifield, 24 years of age, on open warrants for Aggravated Murder and Aggravated Robbery.
