Case Information: On August 24, 2020, at approximately 9:57 PM, District Four officers responded to the 3500 block of Burnet Avenue for a report of multiple gunshots detected via Shot Spotter. Upon arrival, officers were advised that a female victim was transported by private conveyance to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where she would succumb to her injuries. The victim has been identified as Page Jones, 27 years of age. UPDATE On September 1, 2020, at approximately 1630 hours, with the assistance of the Fugitive Apprehension Squad, the Homicide Unit arrested and charged, Mr. Joshua Gibson, 33 years of age, with the murder of Ms. Jones. Case Information: On Sunday, August 23, 2020, at approximately 2:19 AM, the Cincinnati Police Department’s Traffic Unit responded to 3320 Reading Road to investigate a serious injury traffic crash. A 2008 Dodge Nitro was traveling North on Reading Road. The Dodge Nitro struck a 2020 Kawasaki KX100 off road motorcycle in the rear being operated by Mr. Cameron Ferguson, M/22. The impact caused Mr. Ferguson to lose control of his motorcycle striking a 2020 Yamaha YZ85 off road motorcycle being operated by Mr. Michael Cook, M/21. The Dodge Nitro fled the scene of the crash and was found abandoned a short time later. Mr. Ferguson sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash and was transported by the Cincinnati Fire Department to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he was being treated and listed in critical condition. On August 24, 2020, Mr. Ferguson succumbed to his injuries at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Mr. Cook sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash and was transported by the Cincinnati Fire Department to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he was treated and since released. Both Mr. Ferguson and Mr. Cook were wearing helmets at the time of the crash. Excessive speed is a factor in the crash. Impairment as a factor is yet to be determined. Case Information: On August 19, 2020, at approximately 8:45 PM, Central Business Section officers responded to the intersection of East 8th and Walnut Streets for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as Keyshawn Turner, 22 years of age. At approximately 8:50 PM, with the assistance of the Gang Unit, Quantez Wilcox, 25 years of age, was arrested and charged with Murder for causing the death of Keyshawn Turner.

Victim was transported to Mercy Health – Queen City Medical Center. Shortly after arrival at the hospital, the victim was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as Aurora McCarter, 17 years of age. First responders located one victim suffering from gunshot wounds at that location. The victim was transported to University Hospital by Cincinnati Fire Department personnel where he succumbed to his injuries. Three other gunshot victims from that location responded to University Hospital via private conveyance. Their identities are not being released. The homicide victim has been identified as Antonio Blair, 21 years of age. On August 17, 2020, the Cincinnati Police Homicide Unit charged Marlon Canady, 30 years of age with Murder for the death of Mr. Blair. Case Information: On August 9, 2020, at approximately 12:57 AM, District Five officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 100 block of W. McMillan Street. Responding officers located three shooting victims outside the location. The Cincinnati Fire Department transported all victims to UC Medical Center to be treated for their injuries. Shortly after arrival, one victim died from his injuries and has been identified as Damarcus Payton, 27 years of age. No further information will be released on the surviving victims.
