Homicide Unit Investigation

On January 28th at 7:07pm, District 2 officers responded to investigate several reports of a juvenile shot at St. Leger Apartments.  First responders located the Terrence Womack, 16 years old, outside the entrance of 3277 Gilbert Ave.  This case is still being investigated.

Cincinnati Police are still investigating the homicide of Aaron Roseberry.  On Friday, November 9, 2012, at approximately 4:15am, the Cincinnati Emergency Communications Center received a report of a shooting.  District Three officers and Cincinnati Fire Department personnel responded and found an individual shot at that location.  The victim, Aaron Roseberry, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office.  Alisha Turner, 24 years old, has been charged with Murder. Detectives are still attempting to identify several other individuals involved in the homicide.

On October 15, 2012, District Four officer responded to 866 Buena Vista Place to investigate a report of a shooting. The shooting victim Komehn Kollie was pronounced dead at University Hospital. The case remains unsolved.

Homicide Unit Investigation

Joseph Oakley

On August 30, 2012, Joseph Oakley was found deceased at Creekside Village Apartments located at 5001 Pleasant Av in Fairfield.  Mr. Oakley had been shot multiple times near the creek bed of the apartment community.  This investigation is still ongoing and Fairfield Police are asking for help in identifying and locating the person responsible for this crime.

       Homicide Unit Investigation 

 

 

On June 24, 2012, at 2228 hours, the Emergency Communications Center received a report of a person shot at 2130 Storrs Street. District Three officers responded and located a victim at 2112 Storrs Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as Brain Thompson.

   Homicide Unit Investigation

 

On April 13, 2012, at 10:27 p.m., the Emergency Communications Center dispatched District Two officers and Fire paramedics to 5624 Chandler Street for a person shot inside a vehicle. The shooting victim, identified as Marcus Daniels (DOB: 5/12/85), was pronounced dead at the scene by Hamilton County Deputy Coroner, Dr. Gretel Stephens.

April 7, 2012

Homicide Unit Investigation

North College Hill and Cincinnati Police are investigating the homicide of Steven Duke Jr.  On April 7, 2012 at approximately 9:15am, North College Hill Police were dispatched to 8291 Four Worlds Dr for a male slumped over in a vehicle.  Upon arrival, officers located Steven Duke Jr unconscious and unresponsive in the front seat of a black Chevrolet Impala.  Mr Duke was confirmed deceased.  Investigation of the crime scene revealed a bullet hole in the vehicle and a broken window.  Tenants of the complex her heard the sound of shots between midnight and 1am.

October 13, 2011

   Homicide Unit Investigation

 

 

On October 12, 2011, at 8:36 p.m., a District Four police officer was flagged down at 2600 Jefferson Avenue by a subject reporting the front seat passenger of his vehicle had been shot. Fire Personnel responded, but the victim had succumbed to his injuries. Further investigation determined the location of the shooting was at 2218 Rice Street.

The victim has been identified as Evan McCray (a black male born 4/11/1982). There is no suspect information to release at this time. The Homicide Unit will continue to investigate the death of Mr. McCray.

       Homicide Unit Investigation  

Heidi Bake

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Section is asking for assistance in solving the (cold case) Aggravated Murder of Heidi Bake.  The offense occurred on June 11, 2010 in the 2500 Block of Wenning Road in Colerain Twp.  During the overnight hours, 3 black males forced entry into the residence of Ms. Bake and her boyfriend.  The three suspects were all described as approx. 6 feet tall, thin build, wearing white tee shirts and masks.  All three suspects were carrying a firearm, which ultimately lead to Ms. Bake and her boyfriend being shot.  The boyfriend survived his injuries however Ms. Bake died as a result of being shot.

The Cincinnati Police Homicide Unit is investigated a homicide that occurred at 615 Maple Avenue. On Friday, February 5, 2010 at approximately 4:27 p.m., Police Communications received a report of a shooting. District Four officers and Cincinnati Fire Department personnel responded and found an individual at that location. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as Rolandus Mitchell.
