Fort Thomas Police is seeking information that may lead to the theft of large catalytic converters. On Thursday night, March 20, 2014, Fort Thomas Police responded to a theft at Jeff Wyler Fort Thomas where unknown suspects removed six very large catalytic converters pictured, and mufflers from six Dodge Trucks. One subject can be seen on camera removing the exhaust systems from five diesel trucks. The subject cut a hole in the fence to the dealership, and cut off the exhaust systems. He then carried the exhaust systems up into the woods behind the dealership. Total damage was over $30,000. They actually stole 65,000.00 dollars worth of items, but we were able to recover several units in the woods nearby.
