Crime Stoppers is a community program supported by donation of money, goods or services.
Contributions from individuals, private sources, corporations, clubs, professional associations,
retailers, civic and social groups keeps the Crime Stoppers program functional
Since Crime Stoppers is a charitable organization (501-C3), all donations are tax-exempt.
In 1990 Crime Stoppers has received funding from Ohio Senate Bill 65. The bill
requires all police agencies in Ohio that hold auctions of stolen property contribute
25% of the net proceeds to crime-fight organization. Greater Cincinnati – Northern Kentucky
Crime Stoppers is the only organization that meets the definition.
