Crime Stoppers WCPO Telethon

On April 7, 2010 Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky/Southeast Indiana Crime Stoppers and WCPO Channel 9 will unite to help keep our community safer from crime through a one hour telethon and online auction. By making a financial pledge and/or donating an item for our online auction, you will support Crime Stoppers as they give local citizens a safe way to anonymously provide information about crime and criminals in our community.
The Greater Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky-Southeast Indiana Crime Stoppers program, in its 31 year history, has helped solve over nearly 14000 cases (of those 14000 cases, nearly 450 were homicides and over 220 rapes that were solved) and aided in the recovery of over $25 million in stolen property and narcotics. In 2009, over $ 150,000.00 in rewards were distributed to tipsters who provided information aiding in the arrest of a felony suspect. As you know, we all have a stake in keeping Crime Stoppers a viable and effective partner in the fight against local crime.
A significant part of the Crime Stoppers Telethon, the on-line auction, will be the week prior to the telethon. The proceeds from the auction go directly to the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky/Southeast Indiana Crime Stoppers reward fund. Crime Stoppers is a 501-C3
