The TriState Crime Stoppers is a community program supported by donation of money, goods or services. Contributions from individuals, private sources, corporations, clubs, professional associations, retailers, civic and social groups keeps the TriState Crime Stoppers program functional. Since 1990 Crime Stoppers has received funding from Ohio Senate Bill 65. The bill requires all police agencies in Ohio that hold auctions of stolen property contribute 25% of the net proceeds to a crime-fighting organization. The TriState Crime Stoppers is the only organization in our area that meets the definition, and receives proceeds from police auctions in our area.

This is identical to the coin that is presented to persons who receive accommodation from the Crime Stoppers Board except it is bronze in color, the award coins are silver and gold.
