MEDIA RELEASE

June 6, 2020

 On June 6, 2020, at approximately 10:30 PM, District One officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the 1600 block of Hamer Street.  First responders located a shooting victim who was deceased at the scene. The victim has been identified as Dondre Kelsor, 28 years of age.

The investigation by the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit is ongoing.  Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to call the Homicide Unit at (513) 352-3542.

 

Posey

North College Hill detectives are investigating the murder of Jamin Posey. Jamin Posey was found deceased in his home after suffering a gunshot wound on 6/1/2020.

May 30, 2020

 

On May 30, 2020, at approximately 12:08 AM, District Four officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 1600 block of East Seymour Avenue.  First responders located a shooting victim who was deceased at the scene. The victim has been identified as Nathaniel Washington, 29 years of age.

May 29, 2020

On May 28, 2020, at approximately 7:15 PM, District Five officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 4900 block of Hawaiian Terrace.  First responders located a shooting victim who was deceased at the scene. The victim has been identified as Martin Haley Jr, 23 years of age.

The investigation by the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit is ongoing.  Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to call the Homicide Unit at (513) 352-3542.

May 28, 2020

 On May 13, 2020, at approximately 6:57 PM, District Five officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 800 block of Dutch Colony.  The victim was transported to University Hospital via the Cincinnati Fire Department where she succumbed to her injuries.  The victim has been identified as Sharde Tarpley, 25 years of age

UPDATE

On May 28, 2020, at approximately 11:55 AM, the Cincinnati Police Homicide Unit, with the assistance of the Fugitive Apprehension Squad and the US Marshals, arrested Mr. Taquil Overby, 21 years of age, in Eufaula, Alabama for the murder of Ms. Tarpley.

April 16, 2020

On April 16, 2020, at approximately 4:05 PM, District Three officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 2400 block of Westwood Northern Blvd. First responders located a shooting victim who was deceased at the scene. The victim has been identified as Mr. Fred Spivey Jr., 53 years of age.

On April 15, 2020, at approximately 4:25 PM, District Three officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 3800 block of Cass Avenue.  First responders located a shooting victim who was deceased at the scene.  The victim has been identified as David Norwood, 29 years of age

MEDIA RELEASE UPDATE

April 16, 2020

 On April 9, 2020, at approximately 1:43 AM, District Five officers responded with the Cincinnati Fire Department to a report of a vehicle crash in the 4500 block of Colerain Avenue.  The driver of the vehicle was found to be suffering from a gunshot wound and was transported to University Hospital where she died from her injuries.  The victim has been identified as Megan Donahue, 34 years of age. 

On April 16, 2020, the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit signed a warrant for Murder on Travis Bailey.  Mr. Bailey is a 25 year old white male.  He is 5’11, 180 lbs, with blue eyes and blond hair.  Mr. Bailey’s last known address was in Commiskey, Indiana.  Mr. Bailey should be considered armed and dangerous.

April 8, 2020

 On April 7, 2020, at approximately 10:15 PM, District Three officers responded to investigate the report of a shooting in the 3900 block of President Drive. Upon arrival, officers located

Mr. Sanchez Lee, 20 years of age, suffering from a gunshot wound.  Mr. Lee was transported to University Hospital by Cincinnati Fire Department personnel where he succumbed to his injuries.

MEDIA RELEASE

April 5, 2020

 On April 5, 2020, at approximately 8:10 PM, District Two officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 1800 block of Duck Creek Road.  Additional 911 calls indicated a vehicle had crashed at the 5.3 mile marker of northbound I-71 after traveling the wrong way down the Dana Avenue exit ramp.  Responding officers located two shooting victims inside the crashed vehicle.  The Cincinnati Fire Department transported both victims to University Hospital.  One victim died from her injuries after arrival and has been identified as Micaela Stevenson, 34 years of ageNo further information will be released on the surviving victim.
