MEDIA RELEASE

September 25, 2020

 On September 9, 2020, at approximately 12:52 am, District One officers responded to the 1600 block of Linn Street to investigate a report of a person shot.  First responders located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound at that location.  The victim was transported to University Hospital by Cincinnati Fire Department personnel where she succumbed to her injuries.  The victim has been identified as Felisa Vanessa Tremble, 53 years of age. 

                                                           UPDATE

 On September 25, 2020, the Cincinnati Police Homicide Unit arrested Aaron Gill, 25 years of age, and charged him with Murder for the death of Ms. Tremble.

MEDIA RELEASE

September 18, 2020

 On November 19, 2019, at 7:29 am, Cincinnati Fire Department and District Three officers responded to the 3200 block of Gobel Avenue to investigate a working fire.  First responders transported one victim who was injured during the fire to University Hospital.  The victim has been identified as Tony Eason, 64 years of age

On November 25, 2019, Mr. Eason, succumbed to his injuries suffered during the fire.  The death is being investigated as a homicide.

UPDATE:  On September 17, 2020, Jamal Rashid, 35 years of age, was indicted for Agg. September 16, 2020

 On September 16, 2020, at approximately 9:25 AM, District Four officers responded to investigate a reported deceased person in the 3600 block of Irving Street. Upon arrival, officers located three people suffering from gunshot wounds inside the location. All three were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The deceased have been identified as Genaro Gray, 31 years of age, Javona Coleman, 30 years of age and Darius Parker, 27 years of age.

The investigation by the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit is ongoing.   There is no suspect information to release currently.  Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to call the Homicide Unit at (513) 352-3542.

MEDIA RELEASE UPDATE

October 15, 2020

 On September 13, 2020, at approximately 9:57 PM, District Four officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 8400 block of Tuskegee Lane.  Responding officers located a shooting victim who was deceased at the scene.  The victim has been identified as Rickardo Harris, 23 years of age

UPDATE

On October 15th, the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit, with the assistance of the Fugitive Apprehension Squad, arrested Najai Johnson, 19 years of age, on an Aggravated Murder warrant for the death of Mr. Harris.

September 6, 2020

 On September 4, 2020, at approximately 7:10 p.m., District Two Officers responded to the 3200 block of Gilbert Avenue for a report of a person shot.  Upon arrival officers located a victim in a vehicle, unresponsive and suffering from several gunshot wounds.  The Cincinnati Fire Department transported the victim to the University Medical Center.  On September 5, 2020, the victim succumbed to his injuries.  The victim has been identified as; Dominique Davis, 28 years of age.

MEDIA RELEASE

August 24, 2020

 On August 24, 2020, at approximately 9:57 PM, District Four officers responded to the 3500 block of Burnet Avenue for a report of multiple gunshots detected via Shot Spotter.  Upon arrival, officers were advised that a female victim was transported by private conveyance to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where she would succumb to her injuries.  The victim has been identified as Page Jones, 27 years of age.

                                                   UPDATE

On September 1, 2020, at approximately 1630 hours, with the assistance of the Fugitive Apprehension Squad, the Homicide Unit arrested and charged, Mr. Joshua Gibson, 33 years of age, with the murder of Ms. Jones.

MEDIA RELEASE

August 20, 2020

 On August 19, 2020, at approximately 8:45 PM, Central Business Section officers responded to the intersection of East 8th and Walnut Streets for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as Keyshawn Turner, 22 years of age.

At approximately 8:50 PM, with the assistance of the Gang Unit, Quantez Wilcox, 25 years of age, was arrested and charged with Murder for causing the death of Keyshawn Turner.

August 16, 2020

On August 16, 2020, at approximately 7:44 AM, District One officers responded to the 1500 block of Linn Street to investigate a report of a shooting.  First responders located a shooting victim, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.   

The victim has been identified as Myron Green, 39 years of age

August 16, 2020

On August 14, 2020, at approximately 11:08 PM, District Three officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 3400 block of Bassett Road.  Victim was transported to Mercy Health – Queen City Medical Center.  Shortly after arrival at the hospital, the victim was pronounced dead.  The victim has been identified as Aurora McCarter, 17 years of age

 On August 16, 2020, the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit arrested, Calvester Coleman Jr., 16 years of age, in connection to the death of Aurora McCarter.

August 16, 2020

 On August 16, 2020, at 12:34 am, District Four officers responded to the 700 block of Chalfonte Place to investigate a report of multiple people shot.  First responders located one victim suffering from gunshot wounds at that location.  The victim was transported to University Hospital by Cincinnati Fire Department personnel where he succumbed to his injuries.  Three other gunshot victims from that location responded to University Hospital via private conveyance.  Their identities are not being released.

The homicide victim has been identified as Antonio Blair, 21 years of age. 

On August 17, 2020, the Cincinnati Police Homicide Unit charged Marlon Canady, 30 years of age with Murder for the death of Mr. Blair.
