FINANCIAL CRIMES SQUAD INVESTIGATION

At approximately 12:45 PM., Cincinnati Police Central Business Section units were dispatched to 53 E. 4th Street for a report of a robbery at Key Bank.  A white male entered the bank and displayed a note and demanded cash.  The suspect is described as being 25 to 30 years old, 5’6” tall, with a medium build.  He wore a black knit hat, black oversized hoodie, and dark pants. Suspect also had a large tattoo on his neck and multiple tattoos on both hands across his knuckles. He also has a tear drop tattoo on the corner of his left eye. He exited the bank through the front and fled in an eastbound direction. Taken was an undetermined amount of US Currency.

CAR JACKING: 03/02/16 AT 12:06 P.M.

                        REMKE MARKET 2501 DIXIE HWY FT. MITCHELL KY

 

At approximately 12:00 P.M. this date a 77 year old female resident of Independence KY had just entered her vehicle at the Remke Market located at Dixie Highway and Orphanage Road. She was approached by a subject that told her he needed her vehicle and displayed a handgun that he had in the waistband of his pants. The elderly victim exited her car and the suspect took same. At this time the only description we have of the suspect is:

 Male black, dark complexion, clean shaven, and approximately in his mid 20’s

                                                Approximately 5:9, thin build

                                                Black baseball hat possibly on backwards

                                                Gray or black jacket

                                           The vehicle that was taken is:

                                                Black 2002 Toyota Camry

                                                KY Registration: 736-THV

                                                Missing the driver side rear hubcap

                                                Softball size dent under the rear license plate

Fairfield First Financial Bank Robbery

 

On March 02, 2016 at approximately 1:20 PM in the afternoon the First Financial Bank located at 6060 South Gilmore Rd. in Fairfield was robbed. The offender is described as a male white, approximately 40 years old, with brown hair and is approximately 6’00” tall, weighing 210 pounds.  Witnesses reported that he was wearing a dark colored Cincinnati Reds hat with a black leather jacket, stripped shirt, dark jeans and brown work boots.  They also stated that he was wearing white earbuds.  The offender displayed a handgun to one of the employees during the robbery.  Witnesses stated that the offender fled in a black or dark colored older Toyota sedan with an undisclosed amount of cash.  Pictures of the offender are attached to the report.

The Hollywood Casino experienced thefts on 2-26-16 and 2-27-16, where suspects were breaking windows out of cars and stealing purses. The attached suspect tried to use one of the victim's ATM card at Walmart. The Suspect is further described as a black male with a goatee driving a newer model sports car (unknown make). Attached are photos of him and the vehicle.

On February 23, 2016, a male and female suspect entered the Walmart in Evendale and began targeting a handicapped woman in order to steal from. After numerous failed attempts to steal the woman’s wallet out of her purse located on the motorized cart that she was driving, they followed the woman out to her vehicle. While at her vehicle, the female began to distract the victim by asking for directions while the male suspect stole her wallet from her purse. The white female suspect is approximately 5’5”, 130 lbs, brown hair and approximately 25-30 years old, while the black male suspect is approximately 5'9", 200 lbs, and is approximately 35-40 years old. Both subjects were seen leaving in a dark green Pontiac Grand  Prix after committing the theft. Total loss is approximately $500.00.

Blue Ash Police Department had a similar offense. Detectives believe the second Female pictured is also related these offenses and that all 3 suspects are driving around together.

At approximately 10:56 AM., Cincinnati Police District Five units were dispatched to 425 Ludlow Av for a report of a robbery at US Bank. A male, unknown race, entered the bank and displayed a handgun and demanded cash.  The suspect is described as being 25 to 30 years old, 5’10” to 6’00” tall, with a medium build.  He was wearing an orange jacket over top of a black hooded sweatshirt, and light tan pants with a pleat or zipper down the legs. He had a thin plastic sheet covering his face. He exited the bank through the south exit and fled in an unknown direction. Taken was an undetermined amount of US Currency.

Cincinnati Police Detectives are investigating two Breaking and Entering offenses that occurred on Wooster Pike in District 2. Both are Landscape & Tree businesses and a total of 22 Stihl chain saws  were taken as well as a large amount of tree climbing gear.

On 01/24/2016 at 4:00pm a male white subject wearing khaki pants, a black sweatshirt, and sunglasses entered a car dealership on Colerain Avenue and removed keys from several new vehicles in their showroom. The total cost to replace the keys exceeds $1,000.

Panera theft

 

On 02/05/2016, a victim reported several credit cards had been removed from their wallet while eating at Panera on Colerain Avenue. A short time later, four suspects utilized the credit cards at a nearby establishment. The total loss to the victim is near $2,500. Several still shots of the four suspects were obtained.

In the early morning hours of Friday, January 15, the Greenhills Police and Fire Departments responded to the first block of Foxworth Lane in Greenhills to find a 2003 Saturn SUV completely engulfed in flames.  This location is just south of Farragut Road in the southeast section of the community.  After processing the evidence, fire investigators from the Forest Park Fire Department have ruled that the incident was an arson, resulting in the Saturn and a vehicle parked next to it to be completely destroyed.
