On October 12, 2011, at 8:36 p.m., a Cincinnati 
District Four police officer was flagged down at 2600 Jefferson Avenue by a subject reporting the front seat passenger of his vehicle had been shot. Fire Personnel responded, but the victim had succumbed to his injuries. Further investigation determined the location of the shooting was at 2218 Rice Street. The victim has been identified as Evan McCray, born in 1982.
